The new way to learn 11+ maths.

11+ maths practice that finds and fixes your child’s gaps

Every wrong answer has a reason behind it. Kudos finds that reason, explains it to your child on the spot, and sets the next questions straight at it. Nothing for you to mark, nothing for you to teach.

Try it. Pick a wrong answer on purpose.

A real question from the Kudos bank, with the feedback it really gives.

    Write as a percentage.

What each app says back appears here.

Every wrong answer is explained, and the next questions target that exact gap.

Pick a wrong answer above: Kudos names the mistake behind it and shows the working, where most practice apps only say “Incorrect. Try again.”

    See a real session

Every question on these screens is one your child could be asked tomorrow.

Daily practice chosen for your child, and the progress pages that go with it.

    Emma’s Kudos
A demo of Kudos: a sample learner starts Daily Practice, answers a fractions question wrongly, sees the stored explanation, gets the follow-up right, and her Insights page three weeks on shows each topic's earlier and recent accuracy. The questions and explanations are real Kudos content; the learner and her scores are illustrative.

We help guide you and your child through the process.

Feedback loops at every step of the journey, helping you personalise learning.

    1. Every wrong answer, explained on the spot

Get a question wrong and the explanation for that exact slip comes up there and then, while your child still remembers what they were thinking. Not only the right answer: the idea that went astray, in plain words they can read on their own.

      Practice, after a wrong answer

    2. Practice that goes after the gaps

Weak topics, and the mistake behind each one, appear in the parents portal as your child works. Our algorithm queues the optimal questions for their next session. You can see what needs attention at a glance, without marking a thing.

      Parents portal, Where to focus

    3. Progress you can see, topic by topic

Earlier answers sit next to recent ones for every topic, so after a fortnight you can point at what has improved rather than hope it has. Your child’s own home shows their week and their streak, so the reason to come back tomorrow is already on the screen.

    How it works

Simple enough that you will still be doing it in a year.

    1. 1

      Sign up and start

An email address, a password, and your child’s first name. There is no test to sit first: questions start at their school year and shift towards whatever they are getting wrong, from the first session on.

    2. 2

      Twenty minutes a day

A session is twenty questions, or ten on a busy day, aimed at whatever your child finds hardest, and they can do as many sessions as they like.

    3. 3

      Watch the gaps close

The progress pages show how they are getting on topic by topic and what to work on next, so you always have something specific to talk about.

    Yasir Mir, founder of Kudos

I sat the 11+. Then I tutored children through it.

The 11+ got me into Lancaster Royal Grammar School, so I know the nerves your child feels. Tutoring showed me the other side: an hour or two a week, the exam getting closer, and too much of each session spent working out what a child didn’t understand.

Kudos is built on the approach I developed to fix that. Every wrong answer is written to show the misconception behind it Pass Plus feature, so you can see exactly what your child needs to work on.

I studied Information Systems at UCL and have spent my career in innovation and analytics at some of the biggest companies in the world, using data to see what matters when the stakes are high. Kudos gives you that same clarity about your child, before the exam.

Is it right for your child?

What parents ask before they start, answered in a line each.

    Who is it for?
Children preparing for the 11+ maths paper, which most sit at the start of Year 6. Questions start at your child’s school year and move with them from the first session.
Which exam does it prepare for?
GL Assessment papers, and the bespoke tests set by grammar schools in former CEM areas. Mock papers Pass Plus follow the balance GL describes, with number questions far more common than anything else.
    What happens on day eight?
Practice pauses until you choose a plan. Nothing is charged, because there is no card to charge, and everything your child did that week is still there if you carry on.
What does Kudos keep about my child?
A first name or a nickname, and little else besides. No tutor sees them unless you connect one, and you can reset their practice or delete the account outright from Settings.

    Seven days, everything open

No card, nothing to set up. By the end of the week you will know which topics your child finds hardest, what is going wrong inside them, and whether Kudos is worth paying for.
